The expert panel is made up of some of UK's leading figures in the field of contemporary art, including well known curators, dealers, gallery directors, academics, critics, and artists. The panel includes:

Eric Franck (Private Dealer / Consultant)

Erik Franck is one of the most influential and well respected private dealers in the contemporary photography market today. He operated internationally renowned galleries in both Geneva and Berlin between 1982 and 2000. Since then he has been based in London as a private dealer / collector. He is widely respected in the market and acts an expert advisor to many international collections and is also on the advisory Board to the Henri-Cartier Bresson Foundation. He specialises in 20th century and contemporary photography. He represents artists such as Rebecca Horn, Henri-Cartier Bresson, Karen Knorr and Olly & Suzi.

Dr. Andrew Patrizio (Head of Research and Development at the ECA)

Dr. Andrew Patrizio is Director of Research & Development at the Edinburgh College of Art. He is a writer and a curator, previously at Glasgow Museums and the Hayward Gallery, London. He has been Associate Curator at the Laing Gallery, Newcastle. He has written widely in the field of contemporary art, including Contemporary Sculpture in Scotland (1999), Stefan Gec (20002, Blackdog Publishing), New Formations, 2002 and 'A Phantom Limb: feeling the gap between invisibility and touch in recent British Art.'  He is on the advisory Board of the Talbot Rice Gallery, University of Edinburgh and the Standing Group of the Visual Arts Research Institute, Edinburgh.

Mustafa Hulusi (Artist / Curator)

Mustafa Hulusi is one of the most cutting edge artists / curators in London today. He studied at Goldsmiths College (1992-95) and on the MA Photography Programme at the RCA (2002-04.) He was selected for Bloomberg New Contemporaries in 2005. He was recently appointed to the Acquisition Committee for the Arts Council Collection, which is the largest collection (some 7.500 works) of modern and contemporary art. He has also curated a number of critically acclaimed photography shows and is currently represented by the Max Wigram Gallery.

Dr. Christopher Townsend (BA(Hons) MA, Dr Phil)

Dr Townsend is a widely respected academic, publisher and curator. His recent publications include The Art of Tracey Emin (Thames & Hudson, 2002), The Art of Bill Viola (Thames & Hudson, June 2004), and The Art of Rachel Whiteread (Thames & Hudson, October 2004). Forthcoming volumes include the monographs A World at Random: The Art of Boyle Family, Francesca Woodman (Phaidon, spring, 2006), New Art from London (Thames & Hudson, June 2006) Dr Townsend is currently organizing a conference at Tate Britain, scheduled for June 2, 2006, to discuss themes raised within his new monograph "New Art from London." Curated exhibitions include Rapture: Art’s Seduction by Fashion, 1970-2000 (Barbican Art Gallery, 2002) and The Ugly Show (Leeds Metropolitan University Art Gallery, 1998).

Deirdre McKenna (Director, Still Gallery, Edinburgh)

Deirdre McKenna is the Director of Stills Gallery in Edinburgh. Stills is one of Scotland's leading photography centres for research, production and exhibition of contemporary art inspired by existing and emerging technologies.

Vita Zaman (Director, IBID projects, London and Vilnius)

Vita Zaman is the Director and Founder of IBID Projects, an international gallery with spaces in London and Vilnius Lithuania. Since opening its doors in 2002, IBID Projects has focused on emerging British and Baltic artists, as well as curating an innovative programme of group shows and off-site projects. Zaman and Hulusi will act as co-advisors to the ARTvest syndicate.
